Dorian Gray is a young man of the high aristocracy, heir to a great fortune. He meets Lord Henry Wotton, who influences him negatively, teaching him that the main objectives of life are pleasure and beauty.A painter friend makes him a portrait, and under these influences he asks for a desire, to remain young and beautiful as in the picture, which is fulfilled. However, it begins to corrupt, and has a hidden life of perversions and vices, devoid of all feeling and respect for others. Very soon, Dorian realizes that the ravages of that existence, which as I formulate it in his desire, do not appear in his person, are reflected in the portrait.
