About Author
In 1936, DAHLOV IPCAR moved with her husband to a small farm in Maine, where they lived close to the land and raised a family. She continued to pursue her career as an author and artist, and had her first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1939. Dahlov's art is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum in New York, as well as in many private and corporate collections. She has written and illustrated many children's books, including Lobsterman and My Wonderful Christmas Tree, and was awarded the 2002 Katahdin Award, a lifetime
