About Author
Stewart Brown was born in Southampton, England, in 1951. He has taught in Jamaica, Nigeria and Barbardos and is currently at the Centre for West African Studies, University of Birmingham. He edited Caribbean New Wave and Caribbean New Voices I and co-edited Voiceprint, Caribbean Poetry Now and The Heinemann Book of Caribbean Poetry. He is a poet in his own right with Zinder and Lugard's Bridge. Peepal Tree will publish his new collection, Elsewhere, in 1998.
