Description The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring his famous detective. The original book was illustrated by Sidney Paget. These are the first Sherlock Holmes. They were originally published in the Strand Magazine from July 1891 to June 1892. The collection was published in England October 14, 1892 by publisher George Newnes Ldt. The initial print run was 14,500 copies. The book was banned in the Soviet Union in 1929 due to occult although the book shows no trace of such a theme Summary: The King of Bohemia just find Sherlock Holmes to give him a deal: he will soon marry a princess prude but an old love, Irene Adler, is threatening to fail by posting a picture of them both. Sherlock Holmes invented a ploy to get Irene to enter in to see where the photo: he believe a fire knowing that seek to save what she holds most dear in panic - the photo. Finally, she managed to escape with the photo but assures the king that she is in love with another man and she did not prejudice him. This is one of the few times where Sherlock Holmes fails
