John Henry Newman was an English convert to Catholicism who was later made a cardinal. He is the author of "Apologia Pro Vita Sua," "Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine," "The Grammar of Assent," and "Via Media," Albert Radcliffe was the canon residentiary at Manchester Cathedral.<BR>
