About Author

Steve Zumdahl received his B.S. degree from Wheaton College (Illinois) in 1964 and his Ph. D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana in 1968. In over 30 years of teaching he has been a faculty member at the University of Colorado, Boulder; Parkland College (Illinois); and the University of Illinois, Urbana. He is Emeritus Professor and former Associate Head of Chemistry and Director of Undergraduate Programs in Chemistry at the University of Illinois. In 1994 Dr. Zumdahl received the National Catalyst Award from the Chemical Manufacturers Association in recognition of his contrib
