Charles Hoffer is Professor of Music at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He formerly taught at Indiana University, New York's College for Teachers at Buffalo, and served as president of the Music Educators National Conference. He has taught music appreciation at all three of these universities and is an established author of several books and articles about music education and music appreciation.
