When Mr. Waterbury is arrested and accused of selling secrets to the enemies of England, his wife and children have to leave London and move to a small house near a railway station. Bobbie, Phyllis, and Peter soon find themselves in a series of adventures, some funny and some frightening involving the train and the people who ride it.
