Kim-Joy rose to fame in 2018 following her appearance on The Great British Baking Show, where she was best-known for her cute, quirky bakes and radiant positivity. Yet, before her appearance on the show, Kim-Joy was facing mental health difficulties and struggled to fit in with her peers. At the same time, she worked in the NHS as a qualified Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting and treating patients with anxiety and depression. Since learning to extend the same compassion she had for patients with herself, Kim-Joy has learned to celebrate her differences and has found her voice.
