Most young children will find it easy to understand how the hour works. But telling time requires an understanding of hours, minutes and seconds. Often times, learning to tell time begins with an analog clock but the more complex concepts are present in the digital versions. With more access to digital clocks, a child's incentive to learn to tell time is much higher than before.
