"The Road Not Taken, Birches, and Other Poems" contains some of Frost's best-known, anthologized, and closely examined poems, such as "The Road Not Taken," "An Old Man's Winter Night," "Birches," and "'Out, Out---'." As a whole, the volume is a reflection on space and time, on the boundaries where city meets country, where humans meet nature, and where humans meet each other. In addition, his portraits of women---particularly "The Witch of Co s" and "Wild Grapes"---are among the finest and most complex in the English language. Like the speaker in "The Road Not Taken," these poems will continue to be read "somewhere ages and ages hence."
