Jeanine Tesori wrote the score for Thoroughly Modern Millie, which won the 2002 Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Musical, and earned her a Tony and Grammy nomination. She also scored Nicholas Hytner's production of Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center Theater, for which she received a 1999 Drama Desk Award and her first Tony nomination. Ms. Tesori won wide acclaim for Violet, produced at Playwrights Horizons.
