Thomas Forrest Kelly is the Morton B. Knafel Professor of Music at Harvard University. He is the author of numerous books, including "Early Music: A Very Short Introduction", "The Beneventan Chant", and "The Exultet in Southern Italy". A recipient of the American Musicological Society s Otto Kinkeldey Award, Kelly is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, an honorary citizen of the city of Benevento, Italy, and a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres of the French Republic.
