Danielle:
I'm not looking for a man, let alone a baseball player. Definitely not a minor leaguer who doesn't even know how to pick a steamed crab. This is North Bay. Baseball and crabbing are a way of life. This town is in my blood, it's where I belong. Mike Miller showed up with his big dreams of signing with a better team, and he already has one foot out the door. I don't want a man who won't stay. I've had enough of those. So, why can't I get him out of my head?
Mike:
I need to keep my head in the game and my butt out of trouble, but I can't seem to do either of those things around her. There's too much riding on this season, I can't afford to be held back. But Danielle makes me feel like I am worth something, and North Bay is starting to feel like home. Those are things I haven't had for a long time. Too bad I'm not the kind of guy who deserves them.
Out of Left Field is Book 1 in the North Bay series. This is a standalone baseball romance with mild-to-medium heat.

When Jack was the basketball coach in Elk City during his second year (1966-67), he received the Coach of the Year award in Western Oklahoma.
Jack loved basketball, but he wasn't always good at it. In fourth grade, he made his first attempt at a free throw and failed. For his birthday, he asked for a basketball. He realized he didn't have a basket when he shot outside. Out in the garage was an old rusty 5-gallon bucket-back then, they were made of metal, short and wide. Jack quickly cut out the bottom with a chisel and hammer, creating a basket, and the rest is history.
Basketball was in his bones and his dreams. He played in college at Pittsburg State University. At 5'11 3/4 tall, Jack was told he had the skills but not the height to play pro basketball. Instead, he pursued coaching and became a high school basketball coach.
In his short story, Five Gallon Bucket, Jack shares his experiences and thoughts on the sport, particularly from the lens of a basketball coach. His endearing musings will resonate with basketball lovers and provide a glimpse into this retired coach's story of how the five-gallon bucket gave him purpose.

If you or someone you know has ever received a breast cancer diagnosis, you understand how overwhelming and scary it can be. In PEEK-A-BOOB, the author offers a helping hand to those navigating the difficult journey from diagnosis to survivorship. Drawing from personal experience and thorough research, this book provides a roadmap through the maze of treatment protocols and medical jargon while also serving as a source of comfort and inspiration. With heartwarming quotes and uplifting encouragement, the author helps readers find solace when grappling with doubts and despair. PEEK-A-BOOB is a companion, guide, and testament to the resilience of the human spirit. This is the book the author wishes she had when she heard her doctor say, You have breast cancer.
In this book about surviving breast cancer, Stutchman captures the fragility of life through her expressive, beautiful writing. As she navigates through her often-poignant journey, you can feel her fears, her brief doubt of faith, and her uncertainties about her future. The love and importance of her family is ever present. I was delighted to see the chapter written by her sister. Her candidness about her intimacy with her husband spoke to a real situation many may not have considered. While it is just one person's experience, the author's presentation brings the reader a feeling of candid reality. There is truly a valuable and possibly humorous takeaway from her story. I recommend this book for any woman, at any age, who is diagnosed with breast cancer.
---Jodi Cooper, Susan G. Komen(R) Volunteer-Event Committee Chairperson
Three of the most frightening words one can ever hear are: YOU HAVE CANCER. Medical books and journals provide all kinds of facts and figures, such as staging, grading, treatments, outcomes, and survival rates, which are all important. In this well-written book, Shelley Malicote Stutchman shares her feelings and experiences, from the first suspicious mammogram to ringing the cancer-free bell with her fiancé. This was followed by the whys, the what ifs, and worries of cancer recurrence. Shelley speaks of hope and faith in that order and gives a wonderful definition of both. Her journey in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer is both enlightening, very personal, and scary for anyone who has breast cancer or any other type of cancer. Shelley explains how her treatment was multifaceted to include physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual experiences. In the last chapter, the male perspective is given. Early diagnosis and treatment are the best keys to survival in this all too common and dreaded disease. This book teaches one that knowledge is power and suggests that one should not be hubris while navigating through available treatment options.

Alice: Jacob Gibson is an annoying know-it-all from a family of rich snobs. He also happens to be my best friend's other best friend. Now we're the co-captains of her wedding party, and everyone says we need to move past our differences and get along. Impossible, obviously. He's never even acknowledged what he and his friends did to me back in high school. How am I supposed to forget? Besides, with a literal hurricane about to blow through North Bay, the wedding might be on pause. Jake and I were only supposed to be gone for an hour running last-minute errands for our mutual bestie. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans.
Jake: All I did was offer to pick up a few cupcakes before the storms rolled in. Alice didn't have to tag along. No one twisted her arm. But Alice Caulfield is a bossy little tyrant who doesn't trust me to do anything right, so it's no surprise she wouldn't let me handle this on my own. It's not my fault they closed the bridge before we could get back. Now I have no choice but to ride out the storm with the one woman in the world who wants to be trapped here with me even less than I want to be stuck with her.
Right as Rain is Book 2 in the North Bay series. This book is a standalone with interconnected characters. This is a small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance with medium heat.
