Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart is filled with the stories of real people who have had the courage to face the pain of their abuse, addictions and relational challenges. They have chosen to walk the path to healing. We do not claim that they live a life free from emotional pain today, but they have learned that on the journey of life in this fallen world, they are not alone. They have the promise of a loving God who has said that he will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), that he would be with them in the darkest of times (Psalm 23:4), and even that he is suffering with them and carrying them while they are suffering (Isaiah 63:9). These courageous people are maturing and growing into the men and women that God created them to be. They are learning to be honest with themselves and others, humble and repentant as they face the truth about themselves, open to receiving the comfort and healing of God, and forgiving as they have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). On this journey, they are being healed but also equipped to be used as instruments of healing in the lives of others (2Cor. 1:3-5) and to be used to prepare this world for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Christianity is a theology of the Cross. The Cross is central to the doctrine of the Gospel. The Gospel is at the core of the teaching of the Bible. What Moses was to the law, Paul is to the New Testament gospel. In the Old Testament, Moses is the central figure in the giving of the law; notwithstanding, in the New Testament, Paul is the central figure in our understanding of the New Covenant Gospel. These two men are very, very important in our understanding of these two covenants. Moses, the Law; Paul, the Gospel. As Moses was revered by all believing Jews, so also, Paul is regarded as the foremost thinker in the New Testament concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ by Christians. It is very important that we do not underestimate the need to come into a full, complete, and accurate understanding of the Pauline revelation. Paul's gospel is the revelation of Jesus Christ after the Cross: as crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, ascended, and glorified. Paul was given a very unique perspective of our Lord [despite having never met Christ in the flesh). He preached a glorified Christ, and not the Christ in the flesh. It is through his revelation [his deep insights into Christ, and him crucified] that we find deeper meaning into the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without his contribution to the New Testament, our understanding of the life, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord, would be limited and incomplete. Paul's gospel of our Lord exemplifies that Christ now rules and reigns as the Supreme God and Lord over all: the glorified God-man. Amen.

This story is about a man who had his feelings bottled up for way too long. Not able to tell his family why he did the things he did and not able to recoup the lost years away from the people who he loved. In the Mexican-American community, you never show your sadness, your pain, or weakness. As an act of pride, you always keep all your emotions to yourself like as if nothing is wrong. Showing everyone that you're not suffering and everything is fine is strength.
I couldn't do that anymore; it was tearing me up from within. I felt that by writing my story, I was finally explaining and apologizing at the same time to my family for leaving so long ago and why I tend to stick to myself in the present. Writing my story has been a form of therapy for me, if you will, a way to release all those negative feelings that have been inside my head for some time now.
It feels like coming up out of the water and taking a big gulp of air after being under for so long, and I can breathe again now. My life has been harder than most but easier than a lot of people. I thank God for guiding me and protecting me through my journey. But I still wouldn't change any part of what happened back then because it wouldn't have brought me here. I have no regrets.
Jesus gave 50 commands to his disciples and followers as recorded in the four Gospels of the New Testament.
Many Christians call Jesus their Lord and Savior, but for most that is only half true. People trust Jesus enough as their Savior to keep them out of Hell, but they do not make Him the Lord of their lives because they do not know His commands or obey them.
This book lists the 50 commands of Jesus and the relevant scriptures. It explains them in easy-to-understand language, and it provides practical suggestions on how to incorporate those commands into modern living, ie. what to know and do. The book provides a self-assessment process for readers to rate their own level of obedience to the 50 commands of Jesus. Blessings will begin to flow to those who know and willingly obey the commands of Christ Jesus.

The five stories you are about to read in my book titled, Born Blind: Traumas and Triumphs, represent critical parts of my life, feelings, observations, and analyses that marinated inside me long before they reached the written page. Although only one-My father ... Me, and sister Josefina is non-fiction, the others reflect reality, based on my experiences and those of people I know.
The picture on the cover of this book is of a dear friend of mine being held by his great-grandfather.
William Arthur Snidow is holding his great-grandson, my friend Jerry Payne. The faith that this man shared with young Jerry around 1955, before his teens, is very much a part of what is in my books. That faith is a Holiness Doctrine of living in anticipation and preparation for The Second Coming. Born in 1860, his lifestyle and beliefs revealed to Jerry this faith, and Jerry carried that lifestyle and faith on in his own life and then, through our friendship, brought it into my life and my writing.
Obedience to God's Word is a lifestyle made attractive by living life watching for the soon-coming King. Teaching Godly family values to the next generation is each generation's responsibility. I hope what you will find in this book will aid in that cause. Generational love or family love has a Greek name - Storge Love. It is an affectionate love that must permeate the other three loves: Eros, Phileo, and Agape. It has the element of tough love that must be brought into The Family of God so that Jesus' role as the Righteous Judge at The Second Coming can be well understood in anticipation of that event.

The whimsical poetry and illustrations help children to see that the diagnosis is just one part of who they are and that it does not define them, nor does it need to hold them back from being who they want to be.
