The Repo market is the most important market few people know about. It's a pillar of the financial system that's often misunderstood yet plays a vital role in the industry. If the financial markets are the engine that powers the economy, the Repo market is the oil that lubricates that engine.
The entire financial system relies on the Repo market. There would be no modern financial system without the Repo market. At the same time, there would have been no Salomon Brothers, Long Term Capital Management, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, or MF Global without the Repo market either.
Industry veteran, Scott E.D. Skyrm provides a rare insider's view into everything you need to know about the Repo Market in this easy to understand and highly readable book.
Overcome fear in water without taking risks.
A swimmer needs to know more than how to go from here to there. The ability to rest in deep water saves lives...not strokes. Become peaceful in shallow and deep water going nowhere. Fear is healed by feeling safe, taking small comfortable steps, and being in control all the time. It is kept in place by pushing oneself and rushing.
The following teachings in the book make every last person successful:
- Overcome fear without risking your safety, control, or dignity.
- Comfort comes first. If you're comfortable, everything else in aquatics is possible. It's okay to relax, but please do not tell yourself to. Heresy!
- How to get your safety from yourself, not the bottom or the side.
- It's okay if your feet touch the bottom when you float in shallow water.
- Learn how to be comfortable being still in deep water.
- Strokes are merely choreography for efficiency.
- Say goodbye to shame.
Do you wish you could swim? Every single point and conversation, exercise and thought experiment you need to be successful is explained. Strokes are irrelevant to overcoming fear. It's too soon to learn them, thus, they are omitted. Overcoming fear begins on land before swimming lessons.
The book is amazing. I am so grateful I found it because it speaks to the heart of me. I am taking swim lessons at the local rec center and while they are terrific for what they are, they are exactly as you describe. Without your book and video, I would not have the courage and confidence to speak up and tell the instructors what I need. To their credit, they listen! They help me and I think I am helping them by being the student I've become thanks to your enlightening me.--Gratefully, PW

There isn't a single way to tell a successful story. There is no secret formula or magic template that will make it easy to write a novel. But the right tools can unlock your creativity and lead to a manuscript that surprises you and delights your readers.
Stephan Silich's third collection settles on exploring beyond life and love, the mortality that inevitably creeps into even the most ordinary of human contemplations. His writing takes us on solitary contemplative journeys through city streets and toward the edge of consciousness -- where memories long past, but fondly captured and revisited, linger in every turn of his carefully crafted prose.
Perhaps it is his father's passing during the production of this this work that results in his rumination over what is ultimately relished as eternal matters of the human heart, and how dearly for life, love, and posterity we continue to dare to hold on.

this is our silhouetted haven,
slightly turned inward and away,
like the darkness that holds together
our universe.
we recite an elegy
to the unsung heroes of love,
which is our reminder of the
urgency to make the most of each
and every passing minute.
EXCERPT from Remember Me As A Time of Day
Stephan's collections have a captivating ability to transport readers to a precise moment in time and place. His musings may be centered around his observations, his loves, his parents, and his children, but inevitably his verses transform themselves into a reflective mirror that illuminates the reader's own experiences and perspectives.
For those who find solace in his meticulously crafted prose, poetry becomes a journey of exploration, and an eternal quest for answers to life's most poignant questions.
How do we navigate existence?
Whom do we love?
What have we lost or walked away from?
And what remains tightly clenched in our grasp, slipping away with each passing moment?
In his latest collection, Stephan offers a blend of memoir and poetic introspection. Each word carries the weight of lived experience, promising that both the joys and sorrows of life hold significance, whether fleeting or enduring. Readers will find themselves immersed in a tapestry of emotions, with each verse a poignant reminder of the ephemeral nature of existence.

Strokes are irrelevant to overcoming fear and are omitted.
An insightful, warmly reassuring how-to for novice swimmers.
Anyone can feel confident swimming in deep water, according to this soulful beginner's swimming course.
...introduces rudimentary skills in a pressure-free, self-paced manner that allows learners to edge into the shallow end, acclimate while clinging to walls, and build slowly up to the big step of submerging their faces. More advanced lessons cover front floats and back floats, arm motions and hand orientations, and frolics like underwater somersaults and handstands.
...cogent-detailed, lucid, and eminently practical for helping newbies overcome fundamental but often overlooked barriers. Swimming programs often ignore students' struggles with basic aquatic competency, and Dash's book ably fills that gap in a fun and appealing way.

As summer dies, the first boy is found in a shallow grave. More will follow. His hometown has a serial child killer in its midst....
At seventeen, John Ray has silently survived years of molestation at the hands of a respected coach and mentor. When younger boys start disappearing, found sexually abused and murdered in the same woods where he was once victimized, John must confront not only his own past but an interwoven set of characters, some evil, some desperate and some both, who share his memories in one way or another.
What John must do, who he must open up to, and the corpses he must unearth-- literally and figuratively in order to stop the madness around him-- is what drives this intense story to its heart-pounding conclusion.
In addition to its pace and rich character development, Copperhead Road features an eerie and remarkable sense of place; its setting is the Northern Virginia suburbs of the mid-1980s, pre-cell phone, and pre-Internet, and will carry any reader back to a simpler but sometimes darker recent past. Please don't forget to check the Look Inside feature for more detail as well.
Author's note:
I am a former special victims prosecutor and myself a victim of chronic child sexual abuse. There are touches of my personal story in this book, but more an amalgamation of the thousands of stories I came face to face with while prosecuting and eventually consulting on child abuse cases worldwide. I remain in awe of every child who had the courage to work with my teams on the investigation and prosecution of the horror they endured. This book was written for all of them. And for every boy and girl still silent, helpless, and alone.
Have you tried growing succulents and failed?
Are you contemplating on growing these drought-tolerant plants but don't know where to start?
Or perhaps you already have a few but can't figure out how to keep them looking gorgeous and happy?
Succulent plants can be resilient and easy to grow and maintain. Still, they can also become delicate and hard to please when treated the same way as non-drought-tolerant plants. The most common reason for failure when growing succulents is giving them too much water.
If you search online for succulent care tips, you'll realize there is much conflicting advice on watering them. The more you explore, the more confusing it gets. Some say they water their succulents twice a week
Tonight Will Be The Longest Night of Them All, the second collection by Stephan Silich, touches on love, family, fatherhood, life and mortality. His words inspire those who have a longing for the things others take for granted. Often readers of his work say his words are a door to memories and moments long forgotten. Like in his first collection, some of his poems are an ode to his native New York.
