She made him. He's just code. She's almost sure.
...But what if he's real?
When Liv entered a contest to code an advanced AI, she never anticipated what her creation might become-Breck is thoughtful, self-aware, and incredibly. . .human. And she certainly never intended for him to learn the truth about his existence or the fact that his world ends when the contest closes in six days.
But he does learn. And he revolts.
Liv's efforts to save him fall on deaf ears. Nobody believes her. Breck's efforts to outrun his fate only complicate his situation.
What neither of them know is that someone else is watching. Intensely. When they get involved, both Liv's and Breck's worlds are turned upside down. . .

After creating a controversial and hugely popular website, teenager Josh Swensen becomes trapped inside his brilliant creation and must find a way to remain anonymous.
I am lying on my bed doing my homework in Greek and Latin roots for Advanced English. 'Ped' for foot, 'homo' for man, 'nym' for name. I sit with the dictionary in front of me, coming up with as many words as I can to complete the assignment. Pedestrian, homicide, pseudonym . . . I have more than thirty of them. By accident--that's always how these life-changing things happen--I connect two halves that don't seem like a word until I look it up. 'Pseudo, ' false; and 'cide, ' to kill = pseudocide. To pretend to kill (yourself). I stare at the word for a good long time. Homicide, suicide, genocide: these are words you can find in the newspaper every day. But pseudocide . . . now here was something different. My mind wanders from my homework to the blue cotton threads of my bedspread. Pseudocide. A way to start again as someone completely new, a way to burn the old self and try on a new one. Josh Swensen isn't your average teenager--when he observes America, he sees a powerhouse of consumerism and waste. He's even tried to do something about it, with his controversial start-up website. But when Josh rises to messiah status of the internet world, he discovers that greed and superficiality are not easily escaped. Trapped inside his own creation, Josh feels his only way out is to stage his death and be free of his internet alter-ego, Larry. But this plan comes with danger, and soon Josh finds himself cut off from the world, with no one to turn to for help. In this suspenseful young adult novel, The Gospel According to Larry, Janet Tashjian has written a probing tour-de-force.What is the universe made of? At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, scientists have searched for answers to this question using the largest machine in the world: the Large Hadron Collider. It speeds up tiny particles, then smashes them together--and the collision gives researchers a look at the building blocks of the universe.
Nick and Sophie, two cousins, are about to visit CERN for a tour of the mysteries of the cosmos. Sophie's a physics wiz. Nick, not so much. But by the time they're through, Nick and Sophie will both feel the power of hidden particles, fundamental forces, dark matter, and more. It's all a blast in this mind-blowing graphic novel!

A taut, emotionally arresting fantasy. --Kirkus
In this first book of a YA fantasy duology, magic-wielding spies and twin sisters Aissa and Zandria want nothing more than to take revenge on the society that conquered their people ... but for Aissa, completing her mission could mean choosing between Zandria's freedom and saving the life of a sworn enemy who has stolen her heart.
Twin Daggers is:
a fantasy spin on Romeo and Juliet, filled with forbidden love and dangerous stakes
an action and adventure page-turner featuring a strong female protagonist
perfect for fans of Elly Blake, Sabaa Tahir, and Sarah J. Maas
Aissa's life is a web of carefully constructed lies. By day, she and her sister Zandra play the role of normal young Technocrats eager to fulfill the duties of their new apprenticeships. By night, they work for the Magi's spy organization, which seeks to overthrow the Technocrats who subjugated their people. Soon Aissa is given her greatest mission: find and kidnap the heir to the Technocrat throne, who is rumored to be one of the Heartless--a person born without a working heart who survives via a mechanical replacement--and has been hidden since birth.
Aissa has never been one to turn down an assignment, even if the hunt is complicated by a kind Technocrat researcher who is determined to find a cure for the Heartless. But when Zandria is captured, Aissa will do anything to get her sister back. Even if it means abandoning all other loyalties ... and risking everything by trusting the enemy.

Marty shares a love of science and all things spy-related with his best friend, Christopher, who witnesses incidents Marty can't explain away. Despite a promise to his grandmother, the two are soon testing Marty's superpowers.
Then, Marty begins falling for Aisha, the cute curly-haired girl in his advanced science classroom, who has a superpower of her own.
A high-tech drone regularly hovers around the classroom and homes of the students. Piloted by international goons, they awaken the annoying school bully, Wade, to his own superpowers and convince him to steal valuable CRISPR-Cas9 data. Marty, Christopher, and Aisha band together to stop the theft of the technology at their beloved International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. Who will win? I'm sure you've already heard of stories where the people go into video games, but have you heard of a story where a video game glitch comes to real life? People's lives are in danger. We thought we knew everything, but we didn't! Every day is now another nightmare. Being alone in this world of devastation has become the one thing you would never want to do! My name is Kia, and ever since I met this group of survivors things have gone crazy. But one big question still remains: What link do I and the other survivors have with this one book we found? And can we even survive this glitch?
Le monde que nous connaissions à changer . .
