The book Embracing Autism: The Preschool Years Building Positive Behaviors at School with Visual Supports embraces the fundamental principles of Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA to address challenging behaviors. Well, I would like to begin by saying that I am so grateful to Page Publishing. for publishing my second poetry book. It means a lot to me to be published not just once but twice in this lifetime. Also I would like to tell you how I got my inspiration from my first poem. Our English teacher gave us an assignment when I was in the fifth grade to write a poem. I asked her directly, What is a poem? She basically said to write about things that are important to you from your own perspective. Well, I was quite confused about how I was going to write the assignment. At that time, my sister Debbie came by to visit me. She brought me a special gift--perfume. I looked at the bottle which has the name of the perfume: Timeless. I started thinking about it when I surprised myself with my first poem titled Endless as Time. Time is endless. Such profound words as well as the poem.

'She sat with her head resting on the bed while her hand rested on his chest. She wanted to know exactly when the last breath was.'

His death was not the worst thing that would happen to her, it was the aftermath, it was the inner torture that prevailed that killed her soul.

'Is grief love with nowhere to go?' or, is it a cruel reality where your heart aches and your happiness ends?

Knowing Justin is a deeply meaningful experience of death, loss, grief and life from the perspective of a mother, a father, a sister, a friend and a loved one.

Knowing Justin will bring hope and inspire love and kindness after loss. It will take you on a personal journey of growth and increase your ability to love and be loving in the most devastating of circumstances.

Japanese society is now in the midst of a dramatic transformation. An extremely low birth rate and rapidly aging society is resulting in a declining Japanese labor force, fueling a need for non-Japanese laborers and others to maintain economic growth. However, despite a sense of impending crises, Japan continues to be ill equipped to accept non-Japanese workers and add to the diversity already existing within its borders. Currently, many of the benefits of inclusive societies, which lead to a more innovative and fulfilling society, are being curtailed by a pervading notion that Japan is monocultural and that diversity leads to too many problems. Readings on diversity issues: From hate speech to identity and privilege in Japan examines the state of diversity in past and present-day Japan and how Japanese people and the government navigate Japan s multicultural society, as well as the way cultural minorities negotiate their lives in a country which still has difficulty accepting diversity.

The Essence of Life is meant to be a bit of a mystery. Life as you know it holds many mysteries yet to be discovered. God inspired me to put this title of my poetry book to draw attention to what it means-the essence of life. The essence of life is all around us, drawing us closer to God Almighty, who has created us in his image. Now, I am aware that everybody has their own religious and/or spiritual beliefs, but the purpose of the title is to challenge your own beliefs. It is meant to challenge you on a deeper level of your own conscious mind. As you read my poetry book, I strongly suggest you read it at a park, sitting on a bench, with the wind flowing through your hair, or by the beach when the waves come crashing to and fro. Opening your heart and soul to what these poems mean to you will enrich your life in such a profound way. These poems will touch you in such a personal and profound way that you will surprise yourself. What is the essence of life? What will you discover about yourself by reading one or all of the poems in my poetry? God knows you will find out things about yourself and others that you did not know before.
