This is the story about an adventurous and high-spirited 6 year old boy called Fussbum who goes to the beach with too much enthusiasm and too little understanding of the beach and the waves. He makes the mistakes that many young people make at the beach. Diving into shallow water, not picking a dumper wave and being tossed upside down, being caught in a rip and being saved by surf lifesavers. But he also has some good times surfing the waves.
The story has a strong message to respect the ocean but it has plenty of fun and laughs to appeal to boys in particular and the illustrations are superbly drawn to draw out the characters in the story.
This is the story of an adventurous boy called Fussbum, his dog Puddles and his cat Scratch who go on a day's fishing on the local river.

The story has a strong do-it-yourself conservation message with plenty of fun and laughs and with superb illustrations that make the characters jump off the pages.
This is a story of an adventurous 6 year old boy called Fussbum. With his Old Gran, his dog Puddles, and his cat Scratch, he goes to the local playground. He has too much enthusiasm and too little understanding of the correct way to use the playground equipment.
He has a lot of fun but usually ends up making mistakes. Thankfully, he only gets a few bumps and bruises and no broken bones.
The story has plenty of laughs with a message. When using playground equipment, learn to be careful, don't hurry and don't show off. Remember, other children want to play. Learn to share.
This is a story about a six year old boy, who is dressed in warm woollen clothes and who is about to eat his breakfast. The cereals are in a packet, the eggs and milk are in cartons, and the bread is in a plastic bag. He doesn't know where the wool and food come from. He only knows that they are bought from shops. His Old Gran takes him to visit a farm to show him where wool and some breakfast food comes from.
The story is educational with plenty of fun, which is always a good way for children to learn.
